Niles descended from: Calvin6, Nahum5, Daniel4, John3, Increase2, John1. Henry was born in Chenango Co., NY, moved to Dyberry, Wayne Co., PA where he married Catherine. They moved to Wisconsin, then on to Iowa having a house in Sac City. House built by William Franklin Niles, son of Henry G. Niles. William is pictured in front of the house. Rosa Linda Niles (born 1891), daughter of William Franklin Niles and Edna Ople Parriott. William Franklin Niles was born in Pennsylvania, but traveled with his parents (Henry and Catherine) to Iowa when they settled in the Cedar Rapids area. On February 9, 1863, at the age of 16, he enlisted in the 6th Iowa Volunteer Cavalry and went west to fight the Indians in the Dakotas.
