  • Henry George Niles (1813-1895) & wife Catherine Pulis (1816-1901). Henry G. Niles descended from: Calvin6, Nahum5, Daniel4, John3, Increase2, John1. Henry was born in Chenango Co., NY, moved to Dyberry, Wayne Co., PA where he married Catherine. They moved to Wisconsin, then on to Iowa having a house in Sac City.
     
  • House built by William Franklin Niles, son of Henry G. Niles. William is pictured in front of the house.
     
  • Letha (on right) and Minnie Niles. Sac City, Iowa. 1993. Daughters of William Franklin Niles and Edna Ople Parriott.
     
  • Rosa Linda Niles (born 1891), daughter of William Franklin Niles and Edna Ople Parriott. William Franklin Niles was born in Pennsylvania, but traveled with his parents (Henry and Catherine) to Iowa when they settled in the Cedar Rapids area. On February 9, 1863, at the age of 16, he enlisted in the 6th Iowa Volunteer Cavalry and went west to fight the Indians in the Dakotas.

  • The William and Squire Niles farm, Bullock Hill Road, Trout Creek N.Y. Pictured in the 1939 picture, Stanley and Eva Rutenber who rented the farm at this time. The barn has since burned to the ground. The house survives (1991).
     
  • Old school house located by William Niles house, taken 2001. The school house was torned down in 2011.
